Why committees matter
The LAA represents a large percentage of the revenue generated by Australia's commercial laundry industry. Our four new committees give members a structured, formal pathway to contribute their expertise and drive change at the highest level.
- Formal advisory body to the LAA Board
- ~3–5 hours per quarter commitment

Guidelines, Understanding, Industry Development and Excellence
Developing the standards and compliance frameworks that define professional excellence
In healthcare, aged care and hospitality, laundry quality is a matter of infection control and patient safety. GUIDE produces practical documentation that helps every Australian laundry operate safely and compliantly.
- Best practice guidelines: sector-specific guides for healthcare, aged care, hospitality and food service using AS 4146:2024
- Industry benchmarking program: LAA Annual Benchmarking Survey across throughput, quality and productivity
